Hi
When I restored my 61 G3 I was also looking for this part, however I was advised by a reliable source that they were never fitted to that model. I seem to remember that they were not originally fitted to any Matchless around that era.
No reason why you shouldn't fit one but it may not be as per original - just a thought.

Mind you, mine is a superior model to your Matchless as it's an AJS and they might have fitted these as they are upmarket machines!
