New Topic Suggestion

Post by Mick D »

Hi

The recent topic 'What did you do in the garage today' has been responded to well and demonstrates the diverse activities we engage in, would it be something the committee would consider adding to the forum in a form where contributors could log their projects / efforts as a topic? The current format requires a lot of management to follow a single person's progress. How about a non AMC but associated topic?

Regards Mick

Thanks Mick, that's a good suggestion.

I think it would be best if there is a heading, say, Project Bikes in the "Private" area and under this heading club members could open a topic for their project/restoration and then contribute to it as the work progressed.

I suggest it in the private rather than the General area in case any photos accidentally give indications as to where the project is taking place and thus possibly invite unwanted attention.

Would that be useful to Forum contributors?

I think that's an excellent idea - it is the equivelent of the build threads on the model flying forums I use and allows members to follow the projects that interest them uninterupted easily.

So that's one vote for a new area and one vote to leave things unchanged - any other views...?

Add one for the change to keep threads together for future reference.

I'm cool with a new area "What did you do in the garage today" and also another one "Top Tips" (Guide do doing stuff). Could be photo guide or links to videos made by members. :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

I'm in favour of keeping it as is. It makes for good reading and inspiration

I vote for a new area, so members could have a running blog of a project. Andy
