Hello,
I have a spare duplex frame and according to the illustrations I have seen it is a light weight between 1960 and 1967, the number is A7 5678, which to me seems an odd sort of number, however on the opposite side at the rear of the frame there is another series of numbers, starting M12 followed by 026002, which I would think would be a more likely frame number, so which one is correct?
I will be offering this up for sale shortly and would like to give the correct details if possible.
Thanks in advance John

Re: AMC frame number
Not being found where you should find a frame number, the number 026002 seems more like a part number to me. A75678 being the frame number???
Why not see if club can date it, may cost you, but may get more for the frame if correctly identified.

Re: AMC frame number
Lightweights have a single downtube.
Frame numbers starting A75 would be from 1960. The heavyweight duplex frame was introduced from Sept 1959 for 1960 models.
