About 30 years ago, a Bantam enthusiast bought a Lightweight AJS from John's of Romford for £3,000, it was fully restored, most of the other club members thought that he had paid four times too much!

Most I paid for any of my lightweights was £500 in nice complete and original condition. Lowest incomplete was £50. But that bike was worth a good 3 x more for its reg. no. value
