Supply of oil pipe fittings?

Post by Dreverl1 »

Hi All,

I was wondering if you could help me with questions I have.

1 - Does anyone know where I can be the 'olive' (tapered feature shown in photo) and nut to assemble a new oil pipe on my 1948 AJS trials bike?

2 - I have a 1920s bike that uses pipes (copper) for the fuel and oil system, where do I get the equipment to make new ones of these?

Thanks for your help
Andrew

Type "Oil pipe spiggot" in ebay. The copper pipe is also available. Fill it with fine sand, heat it, bend it, get the sand out, solder it. Voila c'est Cointreau!

Hi All,

Thanks very much for your help. It's often just working out what they're called so you know how to start looking.

That website looks good too (you can find all sorts of things on there), I think that's going to be an expensive find.

Thanks very much

He HE, they cannot have been Olive's, plugsandpoints because Olive is a proper noun and would have a capital letter 'pipe' olive's aren't and do not require one, gotcha ! kind regards and seasonal greetings to all.
