For the loom, Colin Farrington, Club member makes these up and they are fine.
He even put in an extra earth lead for me so I could avoid the through the frame losses.
Or you could do it yourself which I have done before but don't like eletrickery.

I am still thinking of making my own loom up.
I don't use crimps, and have a proper soldering iron. I've been looking at Vehicle Wiring Products as they have the right colours of cable and cloth tape etc.
I looked at an Ajay 500 yesterday which technically is the same year as mine but that was different again-it had an alternator and a mag, separate light/ignition switches. Mine has an alternator, coil ignition and combined lighting/ignition switch. Most of the bits on the bike appear to be made throughout the production run, and others are just there to confuse me!!
Failing that I'll contact Mr Farrington.

Colin farrington knows his bikes and makes good looms.I have always been pleased with the work he had done for me.

I use Auto Electric Supplies, good range, service and usually a bit cheaper than VWP.

I made my own and everything is soldered. Don't like loose connections.
