Well that's what the advert on e-bay said. They are made of a very thin material which for all I know could be silk and silk or not they are nice and warm inside ordinary gloves. I have some proper 'bikers' gloves but they are so bulky and stiff that my hands ache after a few miles of gripping the bars.spookefoote1956 wrote:Mmmmm.................. silk!pkr87 wrote:Wore the long Johns and silk liners in my gloves yesterday. Took the 'AJ' on a VMCC ride around Romney Marsh, did about 60 miles and I was nice and warm and after a bit of starting tantrum the bike behaved well. I have a 250ccs H --- A which is much easier to start and ride but it is not the same as a big old thumper is it?

Re: Winter drawers on.......
I find that, even with heated grips and hand shields on my 1984 BMW R80ST, my fingers go numb in cold weather. I have converted all my old motorcycles, including the G3, to 12 volt systems and so I took the plunge last winter and bought a pair of Gerbing G12 heated gloves (very appropriately named for certain Matchless owners!).
Absolute luxury! Run at 50% I thought "these gloves don't seem to be getting warm", but I then realised that my hands didn't seem to be getting cold either; bought a largish pair so that they would not pull tight over the knuckles, and the heat distribution is so good that there are no hot spots, just even warming right to the finger tips. Highly recommended.

I assure you no offence was intended. Quite the opposite.pkr87 wrote:Well that's what the advert on e-bay said.
