New Indian H/W tank on EBAY

Post by Rangy65 »

Just noticed on EBAY a brand new H/W tank for early 60's twin down tube models (what looks like the tank from my 1961 G3 as its got a rear mounting bracket welded to the back of the tank).

Perhaps someone with greater knowledge might take a look and let the rest of us what it would fit - £110 seems a bargain.

eBay item number:142988490729

Cheers

the same tank was fitted to the 2017 raffle bike with the rear fixing and that was a twin.

Doesn't mean it was correct though! Trust me the factory spares state the only tank with the bolt fixing at the rear was the singles, the correct fitting for a twin is the horseshoe bracket and clip, for 61 on the rear fixing was the 2 buttons and rubber band.

You may well have but it doesn't mean that it was used for that bike. Check the factory parts list for 1960 and it'll only list the 350 tourers with the rear bracket, Don't argue you know I'm correct!!!! :P I'll let your tyres down tomorrow if you keep it up!

That's used for the earthing point on the twins. My 59 onwards twins all have that on the frame.
