10,000 bikes at Brighton Burn Up! This Sunday Sept 9th

Post by SPRIDDLER »

- Brighton Burn Up Sunday Sept 9th -

At the Ace Cafe Reunion, (known as the Brighton Burn Up) Sussex section will have the Club stand (No: S5) on the sea side of Brighton's Madeira Drive promenade with raffle bikes and section bikes. The Burn Up starts from the Ace Cafe at 10.30 a.m. to ride down to Brighton for a grand day out on Brighton's famous seafront road with many trade and club stands and displays, live music and special guests. For complete programme details click on the link below:

https://london.acecafe.com/event/ace-ca ... n-up-2018/

It opens at 10.30 a.m., (you don't have to join the ride from the Ace Café), is free for anyone to attend, with loads of free parking at the Prom within the event.

8.30 a.m. on a temporarily deserted, chilly and blustery sea front (we had to lash the marquee to the railings  ) and we're ready for selling around a grand's worth of raffle tickets.....................

It is said that 10,000 bikes will be there (not all are Sussex section ones) which is quite believable if previous years are anything to go by.........

I am off to sunny Cornwall for a week under canvas in the the gloriously hot Cornish sunshine (hopefully!) with the VMCC Cornwall annual rally. There are five days of riding around various parts of Cornwall with daily mileages of 80 to 100 miles depending on whether you manage to stick to the route on the route card or get hopelessly lost!

I can tempt some of them into buying a raffle ticket, but these days I fail to interest them in a free Lucky Dip :(

Hi Alan make sure you come and see us, the more the better you can lend a hand to sell some tickets we need to try and pass our record of just short of a £1.000 . The weather forecast is good so if anyone else is thinking of coming down it's bikes of all ages, riders of all ages, rock and roll music all day plus a stick of rock and fish and chips by the seaside what more could want.
