Anyone know what this is used for, had it amongst my collection of spares for years, it's got TAPOOL written on it,
Guessing some kind of bike spanner for motorcycles?

I think it's a plumber's spanner. The right angled end is used for the (virtually inaccessible) nuts when fitting basin taps.
The selection of 'open' nut cut-outs enable the spanner to be used on piping nuts, I.e. compression fittings, (where a ring spanner couldn't be used).

Neville is right, I have the same spanner. Not sure what the rounded, toothed (?) holes are for though

Hmm, Mikey, there's also a clue in the stamping on the spanner. When I enlarged the pic it says 'TAPTOOL' not 'TAPOOL' as you wrote!!

On a lot of old taps the spindle was square at the top, onto which fitted T bar type knob. Knobs often came off and got lost. Perhaps the slots also acted as a key to turn a tap on / off after the knob and other fittings had been removed?

I suspect the "toothed" holes could be for slipping over a pipe with an olive fitted then tapping with a hammer to remove said olive to fit a new one once moved along the taper of the hole.
