My son and I purchased this bike in March last year, which we are delighted with. An experienced Matchless/AJS owner described it as well restored and in excellent condition. We are trying to establish more about its pedigree, as there are certain conflicting details which need clarifying.
The frame number is A80913, which coincidentally is the same frame number as a G3 sold last year by Bonhams!
The engine number is 59/18 36845 which suggests that it is an AJS engine ? The gearbox number is M34283.
Would appreciate views on this.

A dating certificate from the club is always a good starting point in identifying what you have. Its cheap and reliable
