AMC Gearbox.

Post by Hillwalker »

The instruction books state the correct oil capacity to be 1Pt with Mick Hemmings also stating that amount in his strip and rebuild of these boxes.
However, when I changed the oil recently and I measured out one pint I find the level to be at least 1/4 inch below the level plug.
The box itself seems fine with no signs of harshness when used.
Anyone have any comments or suggestions?

Put in one pint or top it up to the level hole .What ever you do will not effect the working of the box
