Personally, apart from some obvious idiots, I'm just please to get on with anyone on two wheels nowadays. Even bicycle.

Was tremendously impressed with the guy on the Vespa on ferry to the Hook once who was heading for southern Italy!

Also appreciate that for some, as Rob H has said in other thread(s), who will not want to ride and tent but trailer and motorhome and ride when there. We're not in a position to sniff at them. At least the machines are being restored, used and help keep up the demand for spares for us who are still doing real mileage.

Ron, if it's nice might run up to Bishop Auckland Friday!

I do need is that revamped centre stand!

At risk of boring folk by repeating the praise for my 'Mutchless' (250cc Chinese Herald) it has faultlessly taken me one-armed to Spain, plus France a few times and it doesn't look too out of place on club runs and rallies.
Totally different experience to the G3LS now sulking in the shed, but it enables me to keep riding :)

It has a carb, Bart, and as you probably spotted th'engine/gearbox is a copy of the very sweet Suzuki GN250, made under licence in China by (or for) Herald. The U.K. importers upgrade it with better quality sprockets, drive chain, tyres (Avon), rear suspension units and a few other items.

(The way that the VMCC are desperate to swell their membership it won't be that long before it qualifies for VMCC events ;) )
