Can anyone recommend a workshop in the South East for a single cylinder rebore(AJS 18 short stroke)
I have also read that the pistons supplied by the club may have a greater expansion than originals, so the required clearance will need to be 4to 5 thou. Is this a common thought?

Elderfield Motorcycles, Farnham, Surrey (ask for Tony) have recently relined my Velocette MSS cylinder. You would need to send him the piston, and I would also tell him what clearance you wanted because I think that he did the Velo too close (I have had it honed out a little). Other than that, he did a good job!

would advise 6 thou for an AJS 500cc GPM piston.

Hi Stuart,
I think T & L are in Elstow, instead of Kempton ?
Cheers
