Re: Jampot
I may just make it with my little prewar 250 twin port. It needs both ports to vent the smoke. It would make an ideal run leader, no need for marshals. Last man will still be able to smell the way.

Your Profile doesn't say whereabouts you are in U.K. so that your local section can look out for you.Harry44 wrote:Just bought my ticket for the Jampot. This will be my first so I hope to make some new friends.
Whatever you do, make sure to contact other members at the Jampot. We are a very welcoming bunch, but it's too easy to assume mistakenly that someone wandering around on their own is actually with another group or section. (Unless of course it's Smokey Mike, whom everyone avoids )

I'm from Taunton Somerset so not too far to come. I'll hopefully be on the 18S but if the weather is not good it'll be the Pan European.

Re: Jampot
"We are a very welcoming bunch" I'll second that. Despite being a Club member since the mid 70's I didn't attend rallies as there was no section on Teesside and I thought it's be awkward.
Lucky man that I am I chose my first to be the "wet one" at Celles sur Belle in France and had a good time despite the weather.
Just make sure that you don't have one of those fancy viking style helmets with horns or Roy will shoot you, cut off your head and mount it on his wall.
Still hoping to make it to the Jampot, plan to get the rings on the piston fit it and the barrel tomorrow morning before going over to Scotland to see Linda and the two younger ones and drive them about. Back on Sunday evening for work on Monday.
