Mike , I thought it was a P11 that cleared its exhaust at 23:30 , but perhaps it was a G15 . Did Rob bring his one in the van ?

It was most definitely a dodgy dark red P11 that cleared it's throat at 11.30 pm despite warnings from the landlord to be quiet leaving. that was a choice to leave last , not because it would not start . as everyone witnessed it did start (eventually). I'm experimenting with carburettor settings and can now eliminate some of the settings from the possible jets , notch positions , jet sizes

I also find it so much better doing this job after dark as no one can see what you are doing and copy you

but still made 500 miles with the wrong pilot jet fitted , and minimal oil consumption .

well Rob at least you had something to pick up from the roadside as there were no actual breakdowns
