New twin cranks

Post by 1608 »

Just curious, have those new cranks materialised yet or have I missed the celebrations. Not waiting for one myself, just haven't heard much lately.

The engineering and production process meant thet all castings, initial machining and heat treatmeant was done in alternator format with dynamo cranks the "natural" follow on.
The company contracted to do the final machining gained a large contract from Bosch which relegated our crankshafts to "2nd reserve" position.
At the beginning of 2016 we received 32 alternator cranks and in February of this year a further 12 alternator cranks were finished.
We are currently looking at how we can best finish the outstanding alternator cranks and unfinished dynamo cranks.

Poor customer service in my opinion a contract is a contract and should be honoured.

There will be some spare ones when they have all been manufactured and delivered to those who have pre-ordered.
