Re: Weekly quiz
I reckon it was a rivet on a tatty single saddle.
Well, it's as good as most of my answers, ie rubbish.

No. 2018_39 seems to be regrettably an advanced Brexit image?

Re: Weekly quiz
I think the quiz master let us off light last week. I had a sneaky feeling he may have used an adjuster from a girder fork front brake rod. On which it would be more difficult to ID, by not seeing clearly the knurled head with cup for the cable ferrule.

Re: Weekly quiz
Hi
I'm curious with regard to the cam, operated adjustable wrench that was the subject of the quiz a couple of weeks ago, can anyone direct me to a picture of the whole item?
Regards Mick

Re: Weekly quiz
I've got one some where, the head will also move 90 degree's. But what I have was intended for use off plumbers. It can be used like an ordinary spanner, but with the head at 90 degree's. Very handy for getting at bath & sink taps in a tight space, as the handle part then hangs down along side the water pipe. These fittings usually undo easy being brass. They do not rust. They are better than the solid plumbers spanners that can be used the same way, as the cam type adjusts to the nut size to, grip when used.
Just had a look, I think this is different to the tool Quizmaster used. Notice also the square socket end, which also has a hole drilled in the end, for stop cocks etc.You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

Re: Weekly quiz
Be careful what you ask for Mick. The myriad design of adjustable spanners intrigues me. This one is the first one I have seen which is cam rather than thread operated. It is still pretty good for use too.Mick D wrote:Hi
