When measuring a speedo cable do you measure the inner or outer length?
Cheers

Measure the outer Martin, look here, a diagram will show you exactly where to measure.

Better still, it will tell you the length for you bike without having to measure perhaps the wrong cable, so you buy another wrong un.

.... and do make sure that the square drive that goes into the speedo is the correct length otherwise the speedo will be damaged.

Thank you Rob - That's perfect.
And Alan - that's all very good but what should the speedo head lengths be?

What is the model, I will look it up and let you know.
Length into speedo head depends on whether it's a Magnetic or Chronometric.
Magnetic is 9/16†and Chronometric is 7/16â€
