While I was "enjoying" the CSR a bit too much up around the redline this afternoon, the vibration proved too much for the ammeter and the body cracked and the glass fell off
Club spares list both a Lucas ammeter and a "pattern" one, but the website doesn't say if they are 1 3/4" or 2". I need a 1 3/4" one.
Feked have an even cheaper ammeter here, which lacks numbers, but at least appears to be made of metal: https://www.feked.com/motorcycle-ammete ... 4inch.html
Are they any good?
It's one of those cheapy plastic ones from Feked. Does anyone know if there are better ones available?Replacement ammeter?

Re: Replacement ammeter?
Yeah, the plastic one bought from Feked was crap, along with the joke O ring too.
I picked a new one up that has been fine for two years at a bike jumble,
no idea of the maker unfortunately.

Re: Replacement ammeter?
Thanks. There must be better ones out there. The "MADE IN ENGLAND" on that Feked ammeter makes me laugh...

Re: Replacement ammeter?
Hi
I bought mine from AMC Classic, pt no 36084 - 'Genuine Lucas ammeter 8-0-8 type' and can confirm it is 1 - 3/4" version.
Looks the part and does the job - it wasn't cheap but I'm pleased with it.
Regards Mick

AMC Classics do a good one and a better one, so you have a choice.

Re: Replacement ammeter?
Excellent, thanks everyone! I'll give Steve a call.
A damped one will be worth it, because even when my cheap ammeter did work it flapped around a lot...
