You are right, they are not scared of telling lies. I still have a double feeling about this new matchless brand. It helps the brand to revive a little bit, but is this the correct way? :?:

Hi

Not sure there are any lies being told here - mis-directions possibly though.

Good luck to anyone willing to shell out a grand on a brand new leather jacket which is not in the period style the text purports it came from :( even the zipper tags are wrong

I've got an original early seventies jacket - perhaps I should advertise it.

Regards Mick

Strange that the vintage leather has a label with the (current) Italian owners address printed on it...

And if it truly was made from a piece of leather discovered in New York, I doubt you'd get more than one jacket from it

It is just sales marketing and they are very good at it.

Top tip - if it needs more than 2 bolts to hold it on, its probably important...

So...If it's a classic taken from a jacket found in a New York store, from the 60's.. then , to my knowledge, AMC hadn't cottoned onto the whole 'buy the brand' thing that now appears to be the norm (might have saved them if the y had!).
So surely it's based on a leather jacket that some enterprising biker stencilled the Matchless logo on, nothing more.
Oh, silly me, it's based on a leather jacket some enterprising design student got paid a hundred quid to knock up on an Apple Mac.. .
